Meet Dr. Karen Tritinger-Young
Your caring and professional dentist in Yakima, WA.
As the only female general dental practice owner in Yakima, WA, and the current president of the Yakima Valley Dental Society, Dr. T is passionate about raising the standard for patient-centered care in the community she proudly calls home.
She leads Lakeside Dentistry with over 20 years of experience, calm confidence, and a genuine love for working with and helping people.
Her passion for dentistry was sparked by her orthodontist, who hired her to be one of his assistants when she was only fourteen. She saw firsthand how care, kindness, and listening could change someone’s entire experience, and she carried that belief into every patient interaction since.
Dr. T is also deeply committed to going above and beyond state license requirements for continuing education—constantly expanding her knowledge and refining her skills to provide the highest quality, most modern care possible for her patients.
Outside the office, Dr. T is a wife, mom to twin girls, and an adventurer at heart. When she’s not working, you can find her kayaking, hiking, traveling, or playing with her dog, Lilyblue.

We use advanced technology and techniques to make getting numb as gentle and comfortable as possible. Dr. Tritinger-Young wears special magnifying glasses that provide fluorescence guided vision so she can visualize calculus and decay more readily. They are called ReVeal Loupes. Along with our team’s warmth, skill, and care, this ensures your visits are smoother and more efficient.
